Meet Shannon Puetz-Somers, MSN, FNP-BC

Shannon is a board-certified nurse practitioner with over a decade of nursing experience and 12 years as an entrepreneur. Her passion for aesthetics and skincare led her to establish Aesthetic State of Mind, fulfilling her vision of helping clients look and feel their best. In February 2020, after attending the Medical Aesthetics Academy International (MAAI), Shannon continued her work as an ICU nurse during the COVID-19 pandemic and successfully launched Aesthetic State of Mind in July of that year. Balancing her roles as an ICU nurse and business owner, she further advanced her education, becoming a certified nurse practitioner in 2022.

Sydney brings 15 years of nursing experience to Aesthetic State of Mind, specializing as a licensed PICC line nurse with extensive training in vascular access. As an aesthetic injector, her keen eye for detail enhances the quality of services provided. Sydney is a mother of six and cherishes spending time with her family when not at work. She has been an integral part of Aesthetic State of Mind since its inception, contributing significantly to its success.

Shannon is a board certified nurse practitioner with over 10 years nursing experience and 12 years as an entrepreneur.  Aesthetic State of Mind is the result of Shannons’s passion for aesthetics, skincare and helping people feel and look their best, and is the reason behind entering the nursing field!  In February 2020 after attending MAAI, Shannon continued her work as an ICU nurse during COVID and was still able to launch Aesthetic State of Mind in July of that year!  In addition to being an ICU nurse, owner of 3 businesses, Shannon attended, graduated from and  became a certified NP in 2022.
Dr. John W Holden MD
Medical Director
Dr.  John Holden obtained his undergraduate degree in Biology & Chemistry from Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas. Dr. Holden went on to obtain his medical doctorate from University of Oklahoma Health Science Center in 1998. Dr. Holden completed a dual residency in Internal Medicine & Pediatrics in 2002.  
He has held his long time private practice in Internal Medicine / Pediatrics in Ponca City, Oklahoma. Dr Holden and his wife, Jeanne, of 30 years share 4 children and 11 grandchildren. Dr Holden enjoys flying and perfecting his very skilled photography eye.
